Submit an update in Workday (Personal Information > Legal Name) along with a copy of your updated Social Security Card reflecting your new name

Submit a Birth, Adoption or Placement for Adoption life event in Workday (Benefits> Benefits (under Change section) > Select Birth/Adoption event > enter Date of Birth/Adoption> attach a Birth certificate, hospital record of live birth or adoption paperwork)

Submit a ‘Death of dependent, loss of legal guardianship or foster child’ life event in Workday (Benefits> Benefits (under Change section) > Select event > enter Date of Death/Loss of Guardianship > attach a copy of death certificate or paperwork showing loss of legal guardianship or foster child
Submit your updated benefit elections. A Benefits Partner will review and approve once submitted.

Life happens and our benefits are here to support you when it does. If you experience any of the following qualifying life events, please reach out to MYHR (myhr@wintrust.com) within 30 days from the event date. If you don’t reach out within 30 days, the next time you’ll be able to enroll will be Open Enrollment for a January 1st effective date the following year.

Update your ex-spouse’s dependent record (Benefits > Dependents); you will need to change them from a spouse to ex-spouse before you can make any changes to your benefits coverage.
Once the dependent record is updated, you will have a new message in your inbox allowing you to make changes to your benefits.

Submit a Gained Other Coverage or Lost Other Coverage life event in Workday (Benefits> Benefits (under Change section) > Select event > enter the appropriate date > attach a letter indicating the type of coverage gained/lost and the effective date (this should be either a COBRA notice, or a letter from the employer/insurance company)
