Meet the Speaker

Sara Portera

Sara Portera is a Safety Advocate at Marsh McLennan Agency. She is responsible for identifying and communicating safety risks to our clients, assisting them in achieving OSHA compliance and reducing future losses. This includes performing safety audits, training, program developing, fielding client questions and on-call OSHA services. Sara excels at improving our clients’ bottom lines by identifying potential safety hazards and assisting them in implementing solutions to minimize their exposure to loss. She understands that identifying is the first step but developing measurable and actionable solutions is key. Prior to MMA, Sara worked as a Safety Consultant at Workplace Learning System. During her time there, she assisted numerous organizations in achieving OSHA compliance, implemented safety programs, reduced OSHA fines, and reduced workers’ compensation costs.
